Learning is a part of life
Date 16/12/2009 Part 1
Dear firefly,
It’s being two days passed since I got the game challenge from my seniors.
I am a little anxious that if I lose the game, my buddy Ashish was saying that he has to visit out of town for his cousin’s wedding, on the ultimatum day.
today is 16 Dec and only one day is left for that day.
I am feeling overwhelmed, As I told you yesterday Ira’s mother invited me to her house, so I went home today. Her family is very decent all members are nature lovers. The place where it was located has a spontaneous beauty, how can I forget to tell you the city I am living in ahh sorry I was stupid.
I am so unprofessional that I am doing everything in an unorganized way. it might be missy but it is okay, I will tell you tomorrow about it.
Ipshita’s home was habited in the outer area of the city, they were also from the Hindu religion. My father dropped me there in our car. It was made in a very beautiful location, My father left me there. I saw a watchman wearing a navy blue uniform sitting in the cabin adjacent to the entrance gate.
I pushed the bell button so he opened the door for me. I saw an idol of Lord Ganesha, he is a son of Lord Shiva and Devi Parvati. I smiled oh so you are living here, Ganpati Bappa Moriya so cute. I did the posture of namaskaram,
(I bowed my head and joined my two hands) I said “namaskaram”
I entered the gallery it was so captivating and enchanting scene.
My eyes were on the grass it seemed as if a long green carpet had been laid, which was embroidered by red and pink roses.
Then Ira and ipshita were playing with their little pets, Cats, parrot, dogs, etc. About them, I will tell you more tomorrow.
My mind was creating a mirage not to enter her home. I was looking at the door where her mother was waiting for me to welcome, I greeted her “Namaste Chachi how are you?”
“Good to see you here beta” she replied with a great wrinkled smile.
And then she called her daughter “Ira Ipshita come here both of you, please help your elder sister to find your playroom,”
Paintings made by her mother
About this painting -Woman in Indian traditional wear and going for filling water in her clay pitcher.
Ira took me to her room where they enjoy their fun time. Ira was going to bring her grandpa to teach me a chess game. I was a little afraid of her grandpa because he was my grandpa’s childhood friend.
I entered her room, she told me that it was a guest room but as they renovated their house they got new space for the making new hall and now this place has become their playroom, it was so big that my eyes were couldn’t understand how to still it in one place.
The walls were decorated with lovely paintings most of are made by her mother. the room had all the necessities, it contains all the glossy shades of colors, my eyes were getting confused by that There were three sofas of two sitters each, table.
It took me 10 min to see everything around me then I stood up and went outside to see the courtyard.
Then I came back to the room, it was 30 min, My mind was saying to me “he will not be going to teach you to go home tara.” I said to my mind “I know why he is doing this, he is just checking my patience.”
Everything was good except for my mind. Before he came to the room ira and ipshita came there with some snacks eatable. I was weak enough to understand anything I was lazy.
I keep repeating the rules it was all in my head yes the game rules,
The king, the vital piece the essential,
The queen the strongest element and sentimental,
The rook, free to move anywhere,
The bishop can move any no. of a square,
The knight is a game-changer and moves in L- shape
and Pawn can move one step ahead.
We sat and they were telling me the stories about how they learned chess. I enjoyed the evening snack at her house. then I asked her mother about there grandpa, She replied you have to wait for a while because he is not at home right now. He went temple for Arti.
I Stood up in a hurry “so when he comes back home Chachi,” I asked her.
“He will come after an hour,” she replied.
I kept silent and set again.
I was so lazy that I slept on her sofa,
And my dada came with the grandpa to pick me up.
He lifts me up in his arms like a superhero,
Tied a seat belt, came back at home carried me
and Laid me on my bed.
